EM: The part that involves me most deeply is done in Victoria. In a very long period of search begins, begins somewhere when I start the sculpture, and it never ends until the sculpture’s over. And this will be night and day. I’m just always thinking about it, no matter where I go until I can get my idea or whatever it is that’s driving me, so that I can accomplish it.

EM: The meaning of a work may seem ambiguous but it really has only one meaning. This is the difference between expression in words and expression in form. Sculpture is free from the limitations of word meaning. It is its own discipline. One may talk about sculpture, but in the end sculpture must speak for itself.
