Qwul'thilum (Dylan Thomas)

A Coast Salish artist from the Lyackson First Nation, Qwul'thilum was born in Victoria in 1986. His family's strong commitment to participating in their culture gave him access to tradional arts from a young age. He has worked in a variety of media, from training with Seletze (Delmar Johnnie) in jewelery making to carving and print-making with his mentor Rande Cook. In 2007, Qwul'thilum received an Aboriginal Arts Development Award to carve a panel under the guidance of Rande Cook. His other artistic influences include the late Art Thompson, Susan Point and Robert Davidson.
