Centennial Fountain

Funded through contributions by neighbouring municipalities as their centennial gift to the city, the fountain is the focal point of the square. It is little known that Wilkinson's mosaic design, illustrating the themes of growth and maturation, incorporates elements from the University of Victoria coat of arms. The architects collaborated in the physical task of applying the mosaics.
